I enrolled at Vatsalyadham in 5th grade and throughout these years of education, I was allotted with major responsibilities and served as an integral part of the campus. I feel proud and confident when I still remember that I was an in-charge of Computer Lab for 2 years.
The early years gone by learning, developing, and enjoying and what kept growing in me is my interest for Art. During primary years of education, we had Drawing as a subject which helped me to make my basics stronger. The teachers were my pillars to whom I always approached and learned during the free hour. The time went by and soon I stepped to Grade 10th. I understood the importance of education in one’s life but what I found missing was Art. Although we didn’t had Art as a core subject in Grade 10th, it was the encouraging environment of VD and the guidance from mentors which shaped my skillset.
I was a part of Art Team and we were allotted responsibilities to set-up the campus during major events and festivals. We kept on experimenting with various materials and rack our brain to explore the pure form of Art using natural resources like wood, leaves, and many more. We also participated at India Art Festival, Mumbai, 2016 under the guidance of Art Mentor from Laxmi Vidyapeeth Sarigam and attended many events and workshops to develop ourselves.

Sunita's Makerspace
On completion of 12th Grade, I took admission in Dharampur for further studies, but, the passion for Art kept calling and it was the only goal of my life. Realizing to it, I came back to Vatsalaydham and approached the Director. He then allotted me with responsibility of plants at in-house Nursery and one day scheduled our meeting with Kinjal ma’am, with whom I shared my dream. I was enrolled as an Art Maker at Sunita’s Makerspace and visited Gajera schools to learn and explore different forms of Art. I was always encouraged with the creativity I shared and I am happy to be a part of SM. Today, I make variety of artifacts like canvas painting, wall painting, sketches, paper craft, sculptures and also take art projects with teachers and students of Gajera Global School.
It is well said that nature is the pure inspiration of Art but to develop in life, every individual should learn. So, I have enrolled for Diploma in Painting course and that's how I learn, make, and share my passion for Art.
